Review: This series was actually filmed in 1989, and later released on VHS by York Films. If you have ever seen it, well this is that series. Really excellent, but in need of a modern updated remake. Great footage of some of our late greats, such as Ballantine and Pinkerton. Mike Burrows also features.

Review: This is for the cycle fan only. It's an old DVD and is not, in my opinion, worth buying. It has some the Merkx / LeMond spat of the nineties (yawn), why was that included? a bit of controversy dreamed up by the marketing folks? It was made around the early to mid nineties and the "new" cycle products are of course old when you watch the series nowadays. The story of the bicycle deserves better than this, I think if you are interested in cycle history then you should look out for the documentary series about British bike makers. This DVD was a moderate series when it was issued, nowadays I would say it mostly irrelevant.
