Review: Tires are durable and provide appropriate grip on varied surfaces. Beyond daily rides I used them on an unsupported bike touring/packing trip without any issues. I didn't have a single flat and tire pressure loss was an acceptable amount day to day (about 5psi a day) while running at 60psi. Out of the 230 miles 130 was on crushed gravel rail trails. Traction and stability were solid. Beyond the roll resistance of the surface I did not slow down my speed/effort and never once felt like control was a concern. On paved surfaces there might be a neglible slow down/increase in effort, but the adaptability to run on gravel and road without skipping a beat is worth it.

Review: The tires in Vittoria's Terreno Dry Zero vary WILDLY within the lineup. 1.) The 38c TLR can be mounted without even needing a tire tool! However, any TNT variant can NOT be mounted on the same rim by the same person (me) even with the benefit of 2 tire tools and tons of lubricant. If a tire isn't serviceable on the side of the road when the inevitable happens, I have zero use for it. 2.) I'm no weight weenie, but the weight variances in this lineup are mind boggling. Using the 35c variant as an example, the folding clincher variant weights an incredible 265g more than the TNT (tubeless with sidewall reinforcement) weighs. In an industry that measures itself in grams, switching from TNT->clincher on both front and rear carries a weight penalty of over a pound of rotational weight. Crazy! 3.) The Terreno Dry Zero lineup contains 3 sizes (32c, 35c, 38c) and 4 styles: TNT described above, TLR (tubeless ready), clincher folding, and clincher wire bead. However, not EACH combo is made leaving some consumers without their desired option. Want a 32c clincher? Nope. How about a 35c TLR? Also no. 38c in TNT? Again: no. 4.) Unresponsive customer service. Presale, I got an email response from them regarding a product question. Post sale, 3 emails asking for help/guidance have gone unanswered. This tire's tread pattern makes it nearly my perfect tire, but the combination of problems means this nearly perfect tire won't work for me. Very sad.
