Using a tri-axel strain gauge, the Precision 2.0 measures power output as you put force through the left-side crank arm, to an industry leading accuracy of +/- 1%. What's remarkable with this device is that its presence adds only 9 grams to the standard weight of a crank arm, satisfying even the most gram conscious bike riders' need for power. Arriving pre-installed on the inside of a brand-new Ultegra 8000 crank arm, the Precision 2.0 is barely noticeable. In fact, with a ride-time battery life of over 100 hours, it may be quite some time before you ever do have to pay it any attention. When it does come time to replace the battery, it's simply a case of replacing the 2032 coin-cell battery, no tools required. Helpfully you can check the battery status via the 4iiii companion app. As you would expect from a modern piece of cycling tech, it is compatible with most ANT+ and Bluetooth capable devices, meaning you'll be able to sync it to your chosen bike computer, indoor trainer, and/or laptop/PC, and use it for training and racing indoors and outdoors.
