Review: Initially i just wanted a cheap light set as an emergency if i was caught out or in gloomy conditions mainly so other road users could see me. I decided on the Cateye set as it was on offer and i have used their stuff before. The little rear light in the set mounts to the seatpost easily and has some useful modes including slow and rapid flashing which i certainly notice if i am in my car following a cyclist. It is very bright for the size and although it is non rechargeable it takes two CR2032 which are a very common battery size. The main headlight is the Ampp 400 which again is very bright and has the main and low beam plus a couple of flashing modes. There are lights out there that have longer running times but it is more than sufficient for the kind of riding and distances i do. The unit clicks on and off its bar mount very easily and the actual bar mount is very secure and has a micro adjust wheel which can accomodate different bar diameters and shapes. The light is sturdy and looks very durable and i am very pleased with the set and am glad i went for Cateye quality in the end. I highly recommend this light set.

Review: The front light seems good, exactly what I wanted. I expected the rear light to be rechargeable too, except it is not, it uses 2 standard CR2032 batteries. It is a decent light, but I would not want to use standard batteries every day. So two cheers, and three stars.
