Review: A very small, powerful rear light. Easy to fit, quick on, quick off. Numerous lighting display options. Very good battery life and a good recharge time. Great.

Review: The light itself is nice, a good balance between size & brightness for commuting. But the mount lets it all down: What kind of sociopath takes a decent quick-release system like the cateye universal mount and MAKES IT NOT QUICK-RELEASE? The mount is a 2-part system (3 if you count the rubber strap) that clamps the light in place. They fit together so that you cannot slide it up and out of the mount without disassembling the three fiddly pieces. Actually you kind of can slide it out, but you're not going to get it back in again. So if you just want to slip the light into your pocket while you nip into a shop, tough luck. Cateye have clearly put lots of thought into making such a terrible mount, it's truly impressive. Fortunately I have a mount from an older and less user-hostile model which works fine.
