Description: The idea of using neoprene as a barrier against the cold has been around since 1950s in wetsuits but was only recently adopted for cycling. The theory was; if it can keep you warm in near zero water submersion it can keep your hands warm on the bike. The FS260-Pro Nemo Glove II proves this theory correct helping keep your hands warm on even some of the coolest dampest days. Superstretch Insulation The high quality susperstretch neoprene creates a comfortable snug fitting glove and the addition of a wicking terry inner moves moisture away from your skin and adds a little extra warmth. Superstretch neoprene outer Wicking terry inner for insulating warmth Waterproof fabric with welded construction Deep cuff overlaps with sleeve Silicone grip palm print Reflective trim E-Swipe touchscreen compatible finger Construction Neoprene 90% Nylon 10%. Review: Set out on a very cold morning -4c. Hands were initially very cold, which is usual for me. After about 20 mins both hands were toasty. However they work by keeping a layer of sweat warm. This is why they are suitable in the rain. They work like a wetsuit. So if you cannot bear hands getting sweaty best avoid. Otherwise comfortable, grippy and with good feeling. Sort if work with my phone, but not great.

Review: I've been a fair weather biker up until the pandemic but now I'm determined to extend my biking season well into the cold weather months. I've dialed in my cold weather gear except for gloves. Ski gloves or thinner insulated gloves keep me warm but I don't have enough tactile sensation with them and braking and shifting are difficult. I found these neoprenes while searching for a solution and they seemed to be just what I needed. An online review described them as toasty and it made sense, afterall we've all seen arctic scuba divers outfitted in neoprene. Bottom line is that they will not keep your hands warm below about 45 degrees. At 45 and above they are perfect and highly recommended but below that they are numb fingers inadequate despite vigorous sweat inducing pedaling. I doubt that a liner would help as they are too tight fitting. My usual glove is a medium but I had to return the mediums I initially bought and go to large just because they are so tight. I'll use these and enjoy them under the right conditions but my quest for the ideal cold weather biking glove continues.
