Description: The original ergonomic grips for touring and fitness cyclists. The worldwide leader in function, material and craftsmanship, the GP Series prevents numb fingers, aching hands and forearms. Fibreglass composite clamps with rubber inserts Made from 100% German, TUV-certified rubber compounds Bar end and grip body can be changed and adjusted to suit your preference Weight: 405g (approx.) The Ergon GP5 grips have been developed for riders who are seeking the most hand positions. The GP5 combines the GP1 grip with a 5 finger multi-position bar end for maximum hand positions and increased leverage. Perfect for commuting, touring or for those who like a longer bar end. The bar end angle can be adjusted independently from the angle of the grip for the perfect personal fit and the bar end doubles as a clamp to lock the grip in place and prevent movement while riding. The Ergon GP4 is made from 100% German, TÜV-certified rubber compounds of the purest quality. Sizing Information: In order to help you maintain perfect control over your bike, your hands should not completely envelop the grip, which is why Ergon offers many grips in two size diameters Small and Large. The difference refers to the grip width (hand size), meaning a larger hand will have a more positive fit on a thicker grip, while a smaller hand is better fit to a smaller grip. For hand/glove sizes 6.5 to 8.5 we recommend Small, for 8.5 to 10.5 Large usually is better. To measure your hand/glove size you need to measure around the largest part of the hand over the knuckle while making a fist, excluding the thumb. Review: I ride to work every day. I had a wrist issue that was making my rides very uncomfortable. My old grips were definitely exacerbating the problem Within 2 weeks of these my wrist was feeling much better. Now when I ride my other bike it feels weird and uncomfortable

Review: I guess I should have been warned by the ridiculous packaging. One grip inside the box, one on the outside; one grip assembled and one in two pieces in two separate bags. A triumph of marketing over manufacture, I thought. On the positive side, the instructions are well written and clear. I knew what I was supposed to do, but it wouldn't happen. Wait for the click when you push the two parts together. I did. There wasn't one. I am not a weakling but push as I might there was no click. Oh well, maybe it was a quiet click and i missed it. So I followed the instructions and put the grips on my Gary Fisher Joshua. or tried to. But when I tightened the hex nut after pushing the grip the correct distance on to the handlebar, it just twisted the grip bar off. Must be the fact there was no click. The other one looked ok, and was a little more secure, but when I stress tested it by sitting on the bike and simulating going over a bump, no that bar detached as well. By way of full disclosure, the instructions did call for a professional torque wrench, which i do not own. But I did stop at various points whilst using my hex spanner to see if sufficient grip had been achieved. It never was. Fifty quid down the drain. Fifty quid!! I must be mad. And I cut the old grips off so I can't ride it until I get some proper replacements.
