Review: For anyone with difficulties in getting a tension on hub gears, this provides the solution. Specific to the Alfine range, it fits over the the rear axle, replacing that side’s non-return washer. Fits either under or over the chain, depending on needs. The jockey pulley is adjustable with a small Allen / Hex grub screw. This is not a sprung device, it is locked into place. The included instructions are clear and concise.

Review: I don’t know whether to blame Shimano, for not coming up with a more flexible design, or Raleigh for using a non-standard frame, but either way this doesn’t fit. As you can see from the photo, the non-turn washer lugs are way out, and for a hub gear driven by a high torque motor, this isn’t something you mess around with. Returned.
