Review: I love the compact and simple 1 piece design. The light beam is narrow but very deep, it does the job well, although it requires to often adjust the angle depending on the situation. The claimed auto dimming does not work at all. Auto = max brightness, and that is it. I am not able to see any changes even when manually covering or shining another light into the sensor. It is also annoying that it defaults to auto when it is turned on. Changing to dim mode requires 4 clicks of the button every time you hop on the bike, meaning that it will run on max brightness and waste battery 90% of the time. Externally it seems very rugged, but actual durability does not seem to be great. Mine broke with internal rattling sound after 1 year of daily use. There is absolutely no chance of repairing as the whole body is very solid plastic that is welded shut. No warranty is offered by Sigma or Amazon. As I searched for a replacement, the same light was now 50% discounted and for 20€ it is still a great deal, when compared with the cheap stuff you find in the supermarket. So I bought it again. However, I would never recommend it or buy it for the original full price. It is often sold together with a "Nugget II" rear light which is a terrible combination. While the aura 45 can last me for few weeks, the nugget will die off after a couple of days. I separately bought the Infinity rear light, which provides similar battery life, so that I roughly have to charge both on the same day. Finally.. still micro-USB. is this 2005?
