Review: When I bought this umbrella, the reviews were excellent as was the price. It seemed to tick all the boxes With automatic opening and easy closing, a good SPF sun rating and it was also promoted that it was sturdy in the wind due to its multi layer design. However a few months ago when it was quite windy I was using it to shield off the rain and a sudden gust of wind turned it inside out and two of the spokes snapped in half. I tried to fix it but the mechanism seems to be jammed now and it is very difficult to close plus the 2 spokes broke again within a day due to the pressure they were under when it was opened. I suppose some people would say that 6 years out of an umbrella that was used regularly Is good value for money, and to some extent I would agree with them, however it is just so disappointing that it broke so easily and I really expected it to last longer than it did. I can’t help feeling disappointed. I've had cheap umbrellas before that have all cost under £10 and none have lasted more than a few years, so it did last a lot longer than those, but I’m not sure I’d buy another and might look at another make this time.
