Review: No nonsense lightboard, much lighter than the cheaper alternatives and fits my express tow bar mounted bike rack together with the mounting kit.

Review: The lightboard was purchased to use on a Thule bike carrier on which one brake light intermittently fails. It is lightweight and plastic, so does not feel that sturdy and certainly seems expensive for what it is. When it arrives the cable is not connected to the board and must be plugged into the board ensuring left and right are correctly matched (indicated by the colour of one of the plugs). Initially all was well but on the first use in anger my van indicated a failure of one of the indicators, naturally a few miles into my journey. The quick fix was to poke around at the connections and further investigation seems to indicate that the pin connections of the cable into the lightboard come loose enough for the electrical connection to fail occasionally. This now leads me to believe that the problem with one brake light on my bike carrier is caused by the same issue.
