Not only are Tubolito tubes lighter than standard tubes but they are much tougher as they are manufactured with a thermoplastic Polyurethane elastomer, called PU. This group of materials is known for its durability and excellent damping abilities. Review: Cracked/perished in multiple places within 5 months, never been used, just kept carefully, stored rolled as it arrived to me, kept in a cotton bag within my tool bottle on my bike. May have perished sooner but I have not taken this item out since I bought it. If I was able to give a 0-star rating then I would have. I would not buy another.
