The outer casing is lined with a hard polymer sheath to keep its round shape to assist with the smooth operation of the inner wire, is lubricated internally along its length with low-friction silicone grease to reduce cable friction and uses a special directional wound construction that is axially stiff and transmits shifting movements accurately and quickly. Review: If you look carefully at all the different cables this seems to have the best lubrication coatings to maximise ease of gear change and worked for me, the previous cable having snapped :)
