By filling the tank with water to different levels you can experience different degrees of resistance. However there is a second option to increase the intensity of your workout. The bungee cord that runs under the Xterra's ERG600W 's frame can be attached to one of three hooks (A,B & C). This increase the return of the cord with C being the fastest return. When you have finished your workout, simply stand it up and wheel it out of the way.
